Hi, we are Sarah and Claudia. We set up our East London studio in 2018. We wanted to do big, fun things with flowers, which we do; but along the way we also discovered a love of plants, which now plays an equal part.
The Borrowed Light Floral Studio family has grown and our team now runs a florist and plant shop in Walthamstow from where we create florals for a variety of clients.
Inspiration comes from all sorts of places for us, from our local forest to urban architecture, changing seasons to artworks. Somehow it all feeds back into our work.
Developing a sustainable practice is important to us, which is why we favour British or ideally locally grown flowers and foliage. We grow some ourselves and source from a wide range of suppliers, including our local community gardens.
