Our medium is the natural world, so it stands to reason that we want to protect what we have and leave as small a footprint as possible.
Sustainability is at the core of our company. We have implemented many changes for the better over the last few years and we have a long way to go still. But the conversation on how we can be better happens every day.

British and locally grown
As much as we can, we have moved towards sourcing British and locally grown flowers and foliage.
We work with a few flower farms and local community gardens to supply us with material for events, weddings and installations. Whilst this is achievable from Spring through to Autumn, the Winter months are tricky and we need to survive as a business.
We have increasingly found supplies of foliage through community garden s and are encouraging the use of evergreen trees, plants, moss and bulbs for events during the colder months.

Natural materials
A few years ago we made the decision to stop buying anything that has been chemically preserved or dyed. Some of of earlier work has such materials in it, as it is a effective way of bringing in colour and finding material that lasts. We have to be more innovate now and that’s quite fun. Where we have chosen to colour anything, we use eco friendly water and chalk based paints and sprays that are non toxic.
Our dried flowers do not contain preservatives or bleach. We dry a fair amount of material ourselves from anything unused or reycled from our events.
So all of our material is compostable
We do not use floral foam. Instead we use chicken wire, moss, sand and all sorts of methods to keep flowers fresh in a sustainable way.

Recycling & composting
All of our packaging is biodegradable - we use brown paper, brown string, brown pape bags and even the brown sticky tape will quickly decompose in the compost heap.
We compost all of our green waste and quite a bit of cardboard (the rest gets recycled)
We reuse things as much as we can. Yes, the plants that we buy in come in plastic pots, but these can be reused, and if we don’t need them, then we offer them back to the community for free - so if you need plastic pots for propagation or repotting, just come and see us!
We are not a completely plastic free company, there is still some way to go with this in our industry. Where we can, we chose stems wrapped in paper. Local farmers supply fresh in buckets which is the best of all solutions. We continue to pester the plant suppliers to take back the plastic trays…
